A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO AUTHORIZING PARTICIPATION IN THE
COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE’S URBAN COUNTY PROGRAM
FOR FISCAL YEARS 2027, 2028, AND 2029
WHEREAS, the County of Riverside has initiated the next Urban County
qualification cycle for Fiscal Years 2027, 2028, and 2029 and has requested that
participating jurisdictions adopt a resolution confirming participation in the Urban County
Program and approve a Cooperation Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto has elected to participate as unit of local
government (Cooperating City) in the County of Riverside’s Urban County Program for
Federal Fiscal Years 2027, 2028, and 2029; and
WHEREAS, the Cooperation Agreement will allow the County and City to carry-
out activities which are funded by Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), Home
Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds, and Emergency Solutions Grant
(ESG); and
WHEREAS, the Cooperation Agreement will allow the Cooperating City to
participate in the Urban County Consolidated Planning Programs.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, determined, and ordered by the City
Council of the City of San Jacinto, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The Cooperation Agreement between the County of Riverside and
the City of San Jacinto is hereby approved; and
SECTION 2. Authorization to Execute Agreement. The City Manager, or designee,
is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Cooperation Agreement and any related
documents necessary to effectuate the City's participation in the County of Riverside
Urban County Program for Fiscal Years 2027, 2028, and 2029.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED at a Regular Meeting of the City Council
on the 21st day of July, 2026, by the following vote:
AYES: Sanchez, Vandever, Ledezma, Ruiz
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Ayala
ABSTAIN: None
