Mayor Alonso Ledezma called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m.

City Clerk Julia Espinoza conducted the roll call:
Present: Mayor Alonso Ledezma, Mayor Pro Tem Crystal Ruiz, Councilmember Valerie
Vandever, Councilmember Phil Ayala
Absent: Councilmember Brian Hawkins
M/S/C (Ledezma, Ruiz) moved to not excuse the absence of Councilmember Hawkins.
Motion carried 4/0.
Ayes: Ayala, Vandever, Ruiz, Ledezma
Nays: None
Absent: Hawkins
Abstain: None

4. DISCUSSION ITEMS
4.1. Sallee Park Improvement Project (CIP# 23-004) (SJ-521)
Community Development Manager Rene Yarnall presented the staff report.
M/S/C (Ruiz/Ledezma) made a motion to approve the plans and specifications for the
Sallee Park Improvement Project (CIP# 23-004); Award construction contract to RG
General Engineering, Inc. for the sum of $214,151; Allocate $17,132 for
administration, inspection, and testing and $21,415 for construction contingencies;
Reject all other bids; Appropriate $112,000 in Park Development Impact funds to
the project; and authorize the City Manager to execute the construction contract.
Motion carried 4/0.

Nays: None
Absent: Hawkins
Abstain: None
Councilmember Brian Hawkins arrived at 7:38 p.m.

With no further business before the City Council, Mayor Ledezma adjourned the meeting at 8:08
p.m. in honor of John Gagnepain’s father, as well as all the victims in Israel.
