CITY OF SAN JACINTO )
RESOLUTION DEDICATING STREET RIGHT-OF-WAY ALONG
VERNON AVENUE AND ARTESIA STREET FROM CITY-OWNED
PROPERTY INTO THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO ROAD SYSTEM
WHEREAS, California Streets and Highways Code § 1806 (b) allows for the
acceptance of dedication into the city street system, by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto owns a parcel of land located at the northeast
corner of Vernon Avenue and Artesia Street, said parcel is identified as APN 434-300-
003; and
WHEREAS, street improvements have been constructed over a portion of the city-
owned parcel mentioned above; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto considers the dedication of street right-of-way
as an action in the public’s best interest for the orderly development of Vernon Avenue
and Artesia Street per the City of San Jacinto’s General Plan Circulation Element ;
NOW, THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED AND FOUND by the San
Jacinto City Council, State of California, as follows:
1. Dedicate the street right-of-way as described in Exhibit A and shown on Exhibit
B and accept said right-of-way into the City of San Jacinto roadway system, to
be known as Vernon Avenue and Artesia Street.
2. Authorize the City Clerk to record this Resolution with the County Clerk and
Recorder per California Streets and Highway Code § 1806 (b).
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 5th day of July 2022 by the following vote:
AYES: Heath, Ayala, Ruiz, Hawkins
