RESOLUTION ACCEPTING VERNON AVENUE EASEMENT
DEED FROM SAN JACINTO HOUSING AUTHORITY INTO THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO ROAD SYSTEM
WHEREAS, California Streets and Highways Code § 1806 (b) allows for the
acceptance of dedication into the city street system, by resolution; and
WHEREAS, San Jacinto Housing Authority approved a grant of an Easement
Deed to the City of San Jacinto on July 5, 2022 for street and public utility purposes, to
be known as Vernon Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the Vernon Avenue Widening is being implemented through the
acquisition and/or acceptance of dedication of right of way along the west side of Vernon
Avenue between First Street and Artesia Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto considers the acceptance of the Easement
Deed from San Jacinto Housing Authority as an action in the public’s best interest for the
orderly development of Vernon Avenue per the City of San Jacinto’s General Plan
Circulation Element;
NOW, THEREFORE IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, ORDERED AND FOUND by the San
Jacinto City Council, State of California, as follows:
1. Accept the Easement Deed from San Jacinto Housing Authority into the City
of San Jacinto roadway system, to be known as Vernon Avenue.
2. Authorize the City Manager to execute the Certificate of Acceptance attached
to the Easement Deed.
3. Authorize the City Clerk to record the Easement Deed together with the
Certificate of Acceptance with the County Clerk and Recorder per California
Streets and Highway Code § 1806 (b).
