A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO AMENDING AGREEMENT APPOINTING ROBERT BRADY
TO PERFORM EXTRA HELP SERVICES AND APPROVING
EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT
WHEREAS, Government Code Sections 7522.56 and 21224 permit the City
Council to appoint a California Public Employees' Retirement System ("CaIPERS")
retiree in an extra -help capacity when the retiree has specialized skills needed in
performing work of limited duration, and provides that such appointment will not subject
the retired person to reinstatement from retirement or loss of benefits so long as it is a
single appointment that does not exceed 960 hours in a fiscal year; and
WHEREAS, to provide extra help services to the City and relieve backlogs in
excess of what regular permanent staff can accomplish, the City Council retained the
services of Robert Brady, a retired member of CaIPERS, to assist the City Manager with
the services enumerated in the employment agreement effective July 16, 2019; and
WHEREAS, the agreement presented to the City Council did not expressly state
that Mr. Brady is entitled to reimbursement of direct reasonable and necessary expenses
incurred in the performance of his duties; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now desires to clarify that Mr. Brady is entitled to
reimbursement of such expenses.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DECLARED, DETERMINED AND
ORDERED by the City Council of the City of San Jacinto, California, as follows:
SECTION 1. The City Council finds that all facts set forth in the Recitals to this
Resolution are true and correct.
SECTION 2. An addendum shall be added to the Agreement with Robert Brady
to clarify that the City shall reimburse Mr. Brady for his direct, reasonable and necessary
expenses incurred in the performance of his duties and in compliance with standard City
policy.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council
on the 17"1 day of September, 2019, by the following vote:

Addendum to
A reement for Extra HeIR Services [Special Pro'ects Director
The following terra shall be incorporated into the Agreement:
10. REIMBURSABLE EXPENSES. The City shall reimburse Employee for his
direct, reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in the performance of his duties and in
compliance with standard City policy.
