A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING JOINT EXERCISE OF
POWERS AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA AND COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE
REGARDING FIRE PROTECTION AND SUPRESSION
SERVICES WITHIN CITY OF SAN JACINTO COMMUNITY
FACILITIES DISTRICT NO. 2003-1, COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE,
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53316.2 of the California Government
Code, the City of San Jacinto ("City") and the County of Riverside ("County") are
required to enter into a joint exercise of powers agreement to exercise the
powers of providing the services authorized by a community facilities district
formed pursuant to the Mello-Roos Community Facilities District Act of 1982 (the
"Act") prior to the adoption of the resolution of formation creating the community
facilities district; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 53316.2 of the California Government
.� Code, the City Council ("City Council") of the City wishes to approve the attached
joint exercise of powers agreement with the County concerning fire protection
and suppression services to be provided by the County and financed by the City
of San Jacinto Community Facilities District No. 2003-1, County of Riverside,
State of California; and
WHEREAS, all other legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution
have occurred.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED determined and ordered by the
City Council of the City of San Jacinto:
SECTION 1. Incorporation of Recitals. The City Council hereby finds and
determines that the Recitals of this Resolution are true and
correct and are hereby incorporated into this Resolution as
though fully set forth herein.
SECTION 2. Approval of Agreement. The City Council of the City of San
Jacinto hereby approves the Cooperative Agreement to
Provide Fire Protection, Fire Prevention, Rescue, and
Medical Aid for the City of San Jacinto as a Joint Exercise of
Powers Agreement between the City of San Jacinto,

California and County of Riverside Regarding Fire Protection
and Suppression Services within City of San Jacinto
Community Facilities District No. 2003-1, County of
Riverside, State of California. Such agreement is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A" and incorporated by reference herein.
The City Manager is hereby authorized to execute and
otherwise administer such agreement and any amendments
thereto in consultation with the City Attorney.
SECTION 3. Effective Date. This Resolution shall become effective upon
its adoption.
APPROVED and ADOPTED, this 2nd day of October, 2003, by the
following vote:
