A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, APPROVING AMENDMENT TO THE
LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE SAN JACINTO GENERAL
PLAN FOR THE FOURTH CYCLE OF THE CALENDAR YEAR
OF 1990 AND EXTENDING THE TEMPORARY OPEN SPACE
DESIGNATION OF THE NORTHWEST AREA
THIS RESOLUTION IS ADOPTED WITH REFERENCE TO THE FOLLOWING FACTS:
WHEREAS, Section 65631 of the Government Code provides
that no mandatory element of a General Plan shall be amended more
frequently than four time during any calendar year, and that the
City Council of the City of San Jacinto is amending the Land Use
Element of the San Jacinto General Plan for the fourth time during
the 1990 calendar year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of San Jacinto held public
hearings on October 2, 1990 and December 18, 1990 and made d
determination that the Land Use Element of the San Jacinto General
Plan should be amended as follows:
A. Existing land use patterns will be enhanced by GPA
7-90 being assigned commercial and residential land
uses; as designated on Exhibit "A".
B. GPA 7-90 will enhance the logical development of
the City.
C. GPA 7-90 will allow reasonable and proper use of
property in the vicinity of the amendment.
D. No significant environmental impact is expected from
adoption of GPA 7-90.
E. The extension of the temporary open space
r. designation as shown on Exhibit "B" will allow
adequate time to develop a Conceptual Specific Plan.
WHEREAS, advertisement for a public hearing on GPA 7-90
and 5-90 were published in accordance with Article 6, Chapter 3,
Title 7, of the Government Code; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that there will not be
a significant impact upon the environment by right of this change
and adopts a Negative Declaration for General Plan Amendment 7-90
and 5-90.
NOW, THEREFORE, DE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of San Jacinto, in regular session, this 19th day of
December 1990, as follows:
1. The land use element of the General Plan is amended
in accordance with Exhibits "A" and "B".
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 18th day of December, 199D.
