RESOLUTION NO. 1899
1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO ADOPTING
REGULATIONS FOR CANDIDATES FOR ELECTIVE OFFICE
2 PERTAINING TO MATERIALS SUBMITTED TO THE ELECTORATE
AND THE COSTS THEREFOR FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL
3 ELECTION TO BE HELD IN SAI❑ CITY ON NOVEMBER 6, 1990
4 WHEREAS, Section 10011 of the Elections Code of the State
of California provides that the governing body of any local
5 agency adopt regulations pertaining to materials prepared by
6 any candidate for a municipal election ; including casts thereof;

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACIN
71 CALIFORNIA. DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER
As FOLLOWS:
Section 1. General Provisions. That pursuant to Section
10011 of the Elections Code of the State of California, each
10 candidate for elective office to be held in the City of San
Jacinto on November 6, 1990, may prepare a candidate' s statement
lI on an appropriate form provided by the City Clerk. Such state-
ment shall not include party affiliation of the candidate, nor
membership or activity in partisan political organizations.
121 Such statement shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk
13 at the time the candidate 's nomination papers are filed. Such
statement may be wilhdrawr:, but not changed, during the period
14 for filing nomination papers and until 5 :00 p.m. of the next
working day after the close of the nomination period.
15 Section 2. Additional Materials. No candidate will
be permitted to include additional materials in the sample
`rrw 16 ballot packaye.
17 Section 3. Payment. The City Clerk shall estimate the
18 total cost of printing, handling, translating and mailing the
candidate 's statement filed pursuant to the Elections Code and
19 require each candidate tiling a statement to pay in advance
his or her pro rata share as a candition of having his or her
20 statement included in the voter's phamplet. The City Clerk
1 If1i shall bill each candidate for any cost in excess of the deposit
and shall refund any unused portion of any deposit .
22g Section 9 . That the City Clerk shall provide each
candidate a copy of this Resolution at the time nominating
23 petitions are issued.1
24 Section 5. ThaL Lhe City Clerk shall certify to the
passage and adoption of this Resolution ; shall enter the same
25 in the hook of original Resolutions of said City and shall make
a minute of passage and adoption thereof in the records of the
26 proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes
of the mPptinrl at which the same is passed and adopted.
27 MOVED, PASSED and ADOPTED this 3rd day of July, 1990
