..r 1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO CONFIRMING
RESOLUTION 1717A AND COMMENCING PROCEEDINGS FOR
2 AMENDING THE SPHERE OF INFLUENCE OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, AND DECLARING ITS INTENT ON ITS OWN
3 MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO ANNEX CERTAIN INHABITED
TERRITORY KNOWN AS ANNEXATION NO. 66, INCLUDING
4 DETACHMENT & AMENDMENT OF THE SPHERE OF THE
CITY OF HEMET

WHEREAS, Government Code Section 56426 requires the establish
6 ment of a sphere of influence for cities; end
7 WHEREAS, Section 56425-56427 establish procedures for amend-
ment to the sphere of influence; and
WHEREAS, portions of land in the sphere of influence of
9 the City of Hemet are within an area that has financial impact
on San Jacinto or is more associated with industry common to
10 San Jacinto.
11 WHEREAS, the City Council has previously adopted Resolution
12 No. 1727A commencing proceeding to amend the sphere of influence.
13 WHEREAS, some property owners desire annexation to the City
of San Jacinto; and
14 WHEREAS, annexation to the City of San Jacinto will contri-
bute to the orderly growth of the City, provide proper control

of street layouts, sanitary sewer and water design and to insure
16 proper use of land in conformity with the General Plan.

17 NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS:
18 1. The City Council of the City of San Jacinto proposes
to initiate on its own motion proceedings to annex to the City
19 of San Jacinto all the territory hereinafter described on
Exhibit "A" as inhabited territory pursuant to the provisions
20 of the Municipal Organization Act.
2] 2 . ^hat the territory which the Council proposes to annex
shall be identified as Annexation No. 66.
22 3. That the City Manager, or his designated representative,
23 is hereby authorized to file with the Local Agency Formation
Commission the appropriate application and sign any and all
24 documents therefore.
25 MOVED. PASSED AND ADOPTED nn the 19th day of December 1989.
