1 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, DESIGNATING THE
2 ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DIVISION OF THE HEALTH
3 DEPARTMENT TO THE LOCAL SOLID WASTE MANAGE-
MENT ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR THE COUNTY OF
4 RIVERSIDE
WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66796, the
5
County of Riverside has changed the designation of the Local
Enforcement Agency ( LEA) to the Environmental Health Division
6
of the Health Department; and
7 WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66796(a) (1)
g the establishment of the LEA must be approved by a majority of
the Cities within Riverside County containing a majority of the
d population in the incorporated areas, prior to submission to
and final approval of the designation by the California Waste
10 Management Board; and
11 WHEREAS, on September 20, 1989, the City of San Jacinto
received the new designation of the LEA as provided for in County
12 Resolution No. 89-471 from the County of Riverside for the City's
review and approval; and
13 WHEREAS, the San Jacinto City Council has now reviewed and
14 considered the new designation of the LEA;
I5 NOW, THEREFORE. BE IT RESOLVED by the San Jacinto City
Council in regular session assembled on October 3, 1989, that
16 the City Council of the City of San Jacinto has voted its approval
of the new designation.
17 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby orders
18 that a certified copy of this Resolution be transmitted to the
Environmental Health Division of the Health Department as
19 indication of the approval of such designation for forwarding
by the Division to the California Waste Management Board.
20 MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of October, 1989.
