A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF W

2 THE CITY OF SAE JACINTO, CALIFORNIA
APPROVING THE FINAL DRAFT OF THE
3 1998 RIVERSIDE COUNTY SOLID WASTE
KANAGRH9NT PLAN

Ei WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code Section 66780 et
7 sea. , the County of Riverside has prepared a County Solid
R Waste Management Plan (COSWMP); and
!} WHEREAS, pursuant to California Code of Regulations,
10 Title 22, Section 17147, the COSWKP must be approved by a
11 majority of the Cities within Riverside County which contain
12 a majority of the population of the incorporated areas of the
13 County prior to submission to and final approval of the Plan
19 by the State Solid Waste Management Hoard; and
15 WHEREAS, on April 10, 1989, the City of San Jacinto
16 received the COSWHP from the County for the City's review an.r,
17 approval; and
18 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto has participated
19I through a representative to the County's City Liaison
20 Subcommittee in the preparation and review of the final draft
21 COSWMP; and
22. WHRRSAS, the San Jacinto City Council has now reviewed
23 and considered the COSWMP; and
21 WHEREAS, the City now concurs in the objectives set
25 forth in the Plan; and

26 WHEREAS, the City concurs in the method and/or
i
27 organization for implementation of the program; and
28 WHEREAS, the City concurs in the procedures far
29 financing the recommended program; and
:30 WHEREAS, the City concurs in the role identified in
:31 the Plan for the City; now, therefore, _MW

BE IT RESOLVED by the City of San Jacinto in regular

session assembled on May 16, 1489, that the City Council of
2
the City of San Jacinto has voted its support of the efforts
:1
of Riverside County to manage solid waste within its
}
jurisdiction as specified in the Plan.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this City Council hereby

grants it formal approval to said Plan and hereby orders that
7
a certified copy of this Resolution shall be transmitted to
H
the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of Riverside County as
indicating approval of such County Solid Waste Management
10
Plan.

MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED on the 16th day of May 1989.
