RESOLUTION NO. 1820
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE CIIY MANAGER
TO PREPARE, EXECUTE AND SUBMIT A STREET CONSTRUCTION
PROJECT APPLICATION FOR STATE-LOCAL TRANSPORTATION
1 DEMONSTRATION PROGRAM SNARE FUNDS (SB-140)
5 WHEREAS in 1988 the State of California enacted the Deddeh Transportation
Improvement and Reform Act (Statutes 1988, Chapter 24) which, among other pro-
G visions, created the State-Local Transportation Demonstration Program {Chapter
la, Division 3, Streets and Highways Code, commencing with Section 2600); and

WHEREAS the City Council will approve budget adjustments to qualify a cer-
tain street constructinn project for State financial participation in accord-
ance with the State-Local Transportation Demonstration Program (hereinafter
cl "the Program") ; and
10 WHEREAS State Department of Transportation administrators of the Program
are requiring that persons submitting Program applications he authorized by
11 Resolution to prepare, execute and submit the applications for state matching
funds under the 71rogram;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
13 Jacinto as follows:
14 Section 1 . The City Manager is hereby authorized to prepare a project
application for state matching funds under the Program and to execute the
15 application and submit it to the Department of Transportation Program
administrators.

Section 2. The City Council hereby affirms and ratifies the project "W1
17 application prepared, executed and submitted by the City Manager to the
18 Department of Transportation on or about June 30, 1989.
