2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO COMMENDING AND CONGRATULATING
3 THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE RIVERSIDE
TRANSIT AGENCY SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING EXCELLENT
4' & INNOVATIVE TRANSIT SERVICE FOR THE PEOPLE
OF SAN JACINTO
WHEREAS, the nation is celebrating National Transportation
h Weelc May 14-20, 1989 ; and
7 WHEREAS, transit is a vital component of the fabric of
society both nationaily and in San Jacinto, California; and
WHEREAS, transit helps conserve energy, reduce pollution,
relieve congestion, and provides mobility Lo the citizens of
10 San Jacinto, and
11 WHEREAS, Riverside Transit Agency is providing safe, clean,
efficient, effective and competitive transit service for the
12 people of San Jacinto.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of
13 the City of San Jacinto commends and congratulates the Hoard
14 of Directors and Staff of the Riverside Transit Agency system
for providing excellent and innovative transit scrv-ce for the
15 people of San Jacinto.
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this day of
16 by the following vote:
17 AYES Councilmen Redding, Rose, Boykin and Ford
