A RESOLUTION OF APPLICATION BY THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, REQUESTING THE LOCAL AGENCY
FORMATION COMMISSION TO TAKE PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN PROPERTIES FROM THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA AS DESCRIBED HEREIN.
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto desires to initiate a proposal pursuant
to the Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000,
commencing with Section 56000 of the California Government Code, for the
detachment of certain properties hereafter described; and
WHEREAS, notice of intent to adopt this Resolution of Application has not
been given to each interested party and each interested subject agency; and
WHEREAS, the territory to be detached is uninhabited, and a description
of the boundaries of the territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by
reference incorporated herein; and
.,� WHEREAS, the property associated with this request was a part of
Annexation No. 55 to the City of San Jacinto, approved by LAFCO on April 23,
1987; and
WHEREAS, a Request for Reconsideration was filed by Mr. And Mrs.
Henry Pirelli on June 15, 1987 to exclude a parcel within the annexation which
they were in the process of purchasing; and
WHEREAS, said request was denied by LAFCO on June 25, 1987; and
WHEREAS, the City conducted proceedings regarding this annexation On
July 21, 1987 at which time the Pirelli's again protested the inclusion of the
subject property; and
WHEREAS, both the City and the Pirelli's believed the property was
excluded from annexation until Mr. Pirelli recently approached the County for a
perm it.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
San Jacinto this Resolution of Application is hereby adopted and approved by the
City Council of the City of San Jacinto, and the Local Agency Formation
Commission of Riverside County is hereby requested to take proceedings for the
detachment of territory as described in Exhibit "A", in the manner provided by the
�— Cortese-Knox-Hertzberg Local Government Reorganization Act of 2000.
PASSED, APPROVED and ADOPTED by the San Jacinto City Council at its
regular meeting of February 21st, 2002 By a 4/0 Vote.

EXHIBIT "A"
A portion of Jose A, Estudillo s Subdivision of Tract VII of the Rancho San
Jacinto Viejo as shown by Map on file in book 6 of Maps, Page 304, Records of
San Diego County, California, and Government Lot 4 in the Southwest one-
quarter of Fractional Section 10, Township 4 South, Range 1 East, San
Bernardino Base and Meridian, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the center line intersection of Main Street and Soboba Road,
as said intersection is shown on Record of Survey on file in Book 46 of Records
of Survey, Page 15, Records of Riverside County, California, said intersection
being also a point on the boundary line of Annexation No. 50 to the City of San
Jacinto;
Thence along said boundary line of Annexation No. 50 the following
courses.
North 31036'31" West along the center line of Soboba Road a distance of
57.51 feet;
North 47149'29" East a distance of 435.00 feet;
North 50°35'29" East a distance of 543.00 feet;
North 83°54'29" East a distance of 270.00 feet;
North 61119'29" East a distance of 178.00 feet;
North 42009'29" East a distance of 444.00 feet to a point on the west line
of said Section 30,
Thence, leaving said boundary line of Annexation No. 50, Southerly along
NNW said West line of Section 30, being also along the East line of said Rancho San
Jacinto Viejo, a distance of 960 feet, more or less, to the Northwest corner of
said Government Lot 4;
Thence Easterly along the North line of said Government Lot 4 a distance
of 900 feet, more or less, to the Northeast corner of said Government Lot 4,
Thence Southerly along the East line of said Government Lot 4 a distance
of 1320 feet, more or less, to the Southeast corner of said Government Lot 4;
Thence Westerly along the South line of said Government Lot 4 a distance
of 900 feet, moire or less, to the Southwest corner Of said Government Lot 4,
said corner being also a point on the aforesaid East line of Rancho San Jacinto
Viejo;
Thence Southerly along said East line of Rancho San Jacinto Viejo a
distance of 498 feet, more or less, to Rancho Corner S. J. 35, said corner being
also an angle point in the aforesaid boundary line of Annexation No. 50 to the
City of San Jacinto and a point on the center line of aforesaid Soboba Road;
Thence along said boundary line of Annexation No. 50, being also along
said center line of Soboba Road, the following courses:
North 431104'28" West a distance of 1317.76 feet,
North 38"33'14" West a distance of 494.37 feet,
North 31"31'34" West a distance of 433.54 feet to the point of beginning.
Containing 76 acres, more or less.
