A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO DISSOLVING PREVIOUSLY FORMED
STANDING COMMITTEES
WHEREAS, over time, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto has
formed a number of standing committees of the City Council to review and advise
on various issues; and
WHEREAS, many of these standing committees do not meet regularly or
have not met at all in recent times; and
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting on August 1, 2017, the City Council
reviewed its list of standing committees and determined that most of the
committees were unnecessary and could be dissolved.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO AS FOLLOWS:
1. All standing committees of the City Council of the City of San
Jacinto are hereby dissolved.
2. This Resolution shall not prevent the City Council from
establishing or re-establishing other standing committees in
the future or from establishing ad hoc committees.
3. This Resolution shall not dissolve the Public Arts
Commission, as established by Resolution No. 3645, the
Public Safety Working Group, as established by minute
order on October 6, 2015, or any committee or commission v
that is formed through the Municipal Code or other source of
law.
4. This Resolution shall not affect City Council assignments to
regional entities, joint powers authorities, community groups,
or any other City Council assignments that are not internal
City Council standing committees.

the following vote:
AYES: Ledezma, Ruiz, Utz, Miller
NAYS: None
ABSENT: Kotyuk
ABSTAIN: None
