A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING ACCEPTANCE OF
GRANT FUNDS AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OR
CITY ENGINEER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS WITH THE
CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR
THE SAN JACINTO TRAILS MASTER PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto ("City") is eligible to receive Federal
and/or State funding for certain transportation planning related plans, through the
California Department of Transportation ("Caltrans"); and
WHEREAS, Caltrans has notified the City of award of a 2016-17 Caltrans
Sustainable Communities Grant "San Jacinto Trails Master Plan" in the amount
of$116,000.00 (the "Grant Funds"); and
WHEREAS, in order to receive the Grant Funds, a Restricted Grant
Agreement between the City and Caltrans ("Grant Agreement") must be
executed before such funds can be claimed through the Transportation Planning
Grant Programs; and
WHEREAS, Caltrans requires that the City Council of the City of San
Jacinto ("City Council") adopt a resolution delegating signature authorization to
execute the Grant Agreement, any amendments thereto, and any related
documents, to specified City officials.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of San Jacinto does hereby find and determine as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby authorizes acceptance of the Grant
Funds.
Section 2. The City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager, or the
City Engineer to execute the Grant Agreement, any amendments thereto, and
any related documents, subject to City Attorney review and approval as to form.
Section 3. The City Clerk shall attest and certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution and it shall become effective immediately upon its
approval.
