A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA EXPRESSING ITS INTENT TO COMMIT
CERTAIN PERCENTAGES OF THE 2016-17 BUDGETED
GENERAL FUND REVENUE TO GENERAL FUND
DEPARTMENTS BASED ON THE PERCENTAGES ADOPTED
WITH THE 2015-16 BUDGET
WHEREAS, on June 18, 2015, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto
adopted, by resolution 3583, the Fiscal Year 2015-16 Operating Budget ; and
WHEREAS, during the 2015-16 budget process, certain reductions were
made to achieve a balanced budget; and
WHEREAS, the general fund pays for essential City services such as
police, fire and paramedic services, recreation services, street operations and
maintenance, and general municipal services to the public; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to adopt this resolution expressing this
City Council's intent to provide consistency in the 2016-17 budgeting process by
applying the same percentages of general fund revenues to the general fund
departments as were adopted with the 2015-16 budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO DOES RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. Findings. The City Council finds that all of the preceding
recitals are true and correct.
Section 2. Commitment to General Fund Revenue. The City Council
hereby expresses its intent to adhere to the attached Exhibit A, reflecting each
department's percentage of general fund revenue budgeted for 2015/16.
Section 3. Certification. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
and adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of March, 2016, by
the following vote:
Ayes: Bartel, Ledezma, Miller, Ruiz, Kotyuk
Nays: None
Absent: None
Abstain: None
