RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
-I APPROVING THE APPLICATION FOR GRANT FUNDS UNDER THE
1i REGIONAL COMPETITIVE PROGRAM OF THE CALIFORNIA PARK AND
31i RECREATIONAL FACILITIES ACT OF 1984 FOR THE FOLLOWING
PROJECTS
1. SALLEE POOL SOLAR HEATING;
2. NEW PARK ACQUISITION OF LAND;
3. SALLEE PARK POOL RENOVATION

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY
RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS, the people of the State of California have
91enacted the California Park and Recreational Facilities
' Act of 1984, which provides funds to the State of
California and its political subdivisions for developing
101 facilities for public recreational purposes; and
111 WHEREAS, the State Department of Parks and Recreation
has been delegated the responsibility for the
121 administration of the program within the state, setting up
necessary procedures governing application by local
13 agencies under the program; and
14,1 WHEREAS, said procedures established by the State
151 Department of Parks and Recreation require the applicant
to certify by resolution the approval of applications
1�I. before submission of said. applications to the state; and

WHEREAS, said applications contain assurances that
17 the applicant must comply with; and
18 WHEREAS, the applicant agency will enter into an
agreement with the State of California for development
,91 rehabilitation or restoration of the project;
011 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the San Jacinto
21 City Council hereby;
1. Approves the filing of an application for 1984 state
221� grant assistance for the above project; and
73'I 2. Certifies that said agency understands the assurances
24') and certification in the application; and
3. Certifies that said agency has or wi11 have sufficient
27 funds to operate and maintain the project, and if the
261 project is selected for state grant funding;
') 4. Certifies that said organization will provide
27
construction plans and specifications to the state
within one year of the appropriation of funds under
2 this program and will commence work immediately after
11 state approval; and

5. Appoints the City Manager as agent of the City to
conduct all negotiations, execute and submit all
21 documents including but not limited to applications,
a' agreements, amendments, payment requests, and so on,
which may he necessary for the completion of the
aforementioned project.
