RESOLUTION NO. 1637
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING PARTICIPAT-
ION IN THE LIABILITY PROGRAM OF THE COACHELLA
VALLEY JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY.

WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto

has experienced continued increased costs of liability
3
insurance coverage, and
4
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto i s a member of the
5
Coachella Valley Joint Powers Insurance Authority (CVJPIA) ,

and
7
WHEREAS, based upon the estimated initial premiums and
8
the long-range stability of the program, it appears that
9
cost savings can be realized by the City of San Jacinto by
10
participating in the Coachella Valley Joint Powers
11
Insurance Authority Liability Insurance Program.

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of San
13
Jacinto hereby resolve:

1. To authorize participation in the CVAG-JPIA
15 liability Insurance Program effective July 1, 1986
16 2. To authorize the Mayor to execute the Agreement
creating the CVGA Joint Powers Insurance
17 Authority, if said Agreement has not yet been
executed, and the Notice of Intent form.

3. Appoint the City Manager to the Coachella Valley
19 Joint Powers Insurance Authority Board and
necessary' committees to represent the city of
201 San Jacinto.
21 MOVED, PASSED, and ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
22 the city council of the City of San Jacinto, held the 4th
23 day of March, 1986 by the following vote:
24 AYES: Councilman Ford, Divine, Redding, Stevens,
and Stuart.
25 NOES: None
