RESOLUTION NO. 1633
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION
TO INITIATE ON ITS OWN MOTION, PROCEEDINGS TO
ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY KNOWN AS
] ; ANNEXATION NO. 55
2I{ WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto desires to initiate
3I proceedings pursuant to the Cortese-Knox Local Government
41 Reorganization Act of 1985, Division 3, commencing with
; I Section 56000 of the California Government Code; and
61 .. .WHEREAS, the territory proposed to be annexed is
7 uninhabited, and a description of the boundaries of the
$ I territory is set forth in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and
q by this reference incorporated herein; and
10 WHEREAS, the proposal is consistent with the sphere
11 of influence of the City of San Jacinto; and
12 WHEREAS, annexation to the City of San Jacinto will
13 contribute to the orderly growth of the city, provide
14 proper control of street layouts, sanitary and water
15 design and to insure proper use of land in conformity
16 with the General Plana
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
18I of the City of San Jacinto as follows;
19 1. The City Manager or his designated representative
20 � is authorized to file the appropriate application and
21 sign any and all documents therefor.
22'I 2. The Local Agency Formation Commission is hereby
23I'V` requested to take proceedings for the annexation of terr-
241i itcry as described in Exhibit "A" in the manner provided
25I by the Cortse-Knox Local Government Reorganization Act
961 of 1985.
27I' MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED the 7th day—pf January
