I RESOLUTION NO. 1631
2 A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SA.N JACINTO,
CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION
3 HELD IN SAID CITY ON NOVEMBER 5, 1935, DECLARING THE RESULT
THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER, MATTEP.S 'AS ARE PF.OVIDED BY LAIC

1lHIEREAS, a regular general municipal election was held and conducted in
5 the City of San Jacinto, California, on Tuesday, November 5 , 1985, as reguire
by law; and
WHEREAS , pursuant to Resolution No. 1604, adopted the 13th day of June
7 1985, the election was consolidated with the School District election, and
the Reqistrar of Voters canvassed the returns of said election and has certi-
8 Tied the 'reulsts to this City Council , said results are received, attached an
make a part hereof as Exhibit "A"; and

WHEREAS notice of said election was duly and regularly given in time,
10 form and manner as provided by law; and that in all respects said election
was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed cam
11 the returns made and declared in time form and manner as required by the prc
visions of the Elections Cede of the State of California.

NOW, THEREFORE" the City Council of the City of San. Jacinto does hereby
13 ' resolve , declare, determine and order as follows:
14, Section 1 . That there were eleven voting precincts established for the
purpose of holdina said election consistina of the regular election precinct.
15 i in said City as established for the holding of State and County elections.
16 Section 2. That said regular aeneral municipal election was held for t
purpose of electing the following officers of said City as required by laws
17 —relating to cities in the State of California to .vit:
18 3 Members of the City Council of said City for a full term of 4 years;
a City Clerk of said City for a full term of 4 years ;
191 a City `'reasurer of said City for-a;full term of 4 years .
20 Section 3. That the ,thole number of votes cast in said City was 4,361
21 Section 4. That the names of persons voted for at said election for
members of the City Counci' of said City are as -ollows:

Section 5. The City Council does declare and determine that:

Marc A. Divine was elected as a Member of the City Council
31i cf the City for the full term of four years.
32� Lester F. Peddling was elected as a hlember of the City
Council of the City for the full term of four years.

�I1 Trammell B. Ford was elected as a Plember of the City
Council of the City for the full term of four years.

None was elected City Clerk of said City for the full
3 term of four years.
4 None was elected City Treasurer of said City for the
full term of four years.
Section 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of the City Counci
g' of said City a statement of the result of said election showing :
7 (1) The whole number of votes cast in the City.
g (2) The names_ of the persons_ voted for;
0 (3) For what office each person was voted for;
10 (4) The number of,votes given at each precinct to each person.
11 (5) The number of votes given in the City to each person.
12 Section 7. That the City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to
each of such persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by the City
13 Clerk and duly authenticated; that the City Clerk shall also adninister to
each, person elected, the Oath of Office prescribed in the State Constitution
14 of the State of California and shall have them subscribe thereto and file th
same in the Office of the City Clerk. Whereupon , each and all of said pers+;
151 so elected shall be inducted into the respective office to which they have
been elected.

Section 3. That the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adopti
gj of this Resolution-. shall enter the same in the book of original Resolutions_
of said City; and shall make a minute of passaae and adoption thereof in the
18 records of the Proceedings of the City Council of said City in the minutes c
themeetina at which the same is passed and adopted.
