WITH THE SAME VOTERS AND TO BE HELD ON THE SAME DATE
5i PURSUANT TO SECTION '23302 OF THE ELECTIONS CODE
6 i,IHEP.EAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto called a General
71 P"unicioal Election in said city to be held November 5, 1985, for the purpose

S of the election of three (3) h1embers of the City Council, a City Clerk and
U,� a City Treasurer of said City; and
10 IgEREAS, it is desirable that said neneral municipal election be consoli
11 dated with any other election being held in the sane territory, with the sane
12 voters and to be held on the same date, and that within said city the precinc
13 Dolling places and election officers of the two eiections be the same, that
14 the Registrar of the County of Riverside canvass the returns of the general
151 municipal election and that any other election being held in the same ferrite
161with the same voters and to be held on the same date, and the general munici1
17 I election be held in all respects as if there were only one election.
18�I NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO DOES HEREBY
19 � RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOUSi
201 i Section 1. That pursuant to the requirenents of Section 23302 of the
21 E'.ecticns Code, the Registrar of Voters of the County of Riverside is hereby
22`I requested to consent and agree to the consolidation of n general municipal
231i election ,rith any other election being held in the sane territory, v;ith the
24', same voters and to be held on the same date, Tuesday, ,November 5, 1985, for

2511 the purpose of the election of three (3) I°'enbers of the City Council , a Cit,
26iI Clerk and a City Treasurer of said City.
271, Section 2. Said Registrar is hereby authorized to canvass the returns
2S1,1said general municipal election which is hereby requested to consolidate wi
`1 21�� any other election being held in the same territory, with the same voters a
ltlj to be held on the sane date, and said election s`a',' be held r all respect
1I' as if there i,�iere only one election, and only one form of ballot shall. be u=_

1 '1 as may;be requested by said City Clerk that may be necessary in order to

31 Section 4. That the polls for said election shall be open at seven (7
.111 o'clock a.m. of the dale of said election and sha-.' remain open continuously

shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14301 of the Elections Code o
ill the State of California.
8i Section E. That in all particulars not recited in this Resolution, sai
9I; election shall be held and conducted as provided by law for holding Tunicipa
101 elections in said City.
111 Section 6. That notice of the time and place of holding said election
12 is hereby given and the C4ty Clerk is 'hereby authorized, instructed and dir:
13 ted to give such further or additional notice of said election, in time, foi
14 and manner as required by law.
15. Section 7. That the City Clerk shall certifv to the passage and adopt
16 of this Resolution; shall make a minute of passage and adoption thereof in
171' the records of the proceedings of the City Council of said City, in the Tin
181 utes of the meeting at which the same is passed and adopted.

Section 3. The City of San Jacinto recognises that additional costs will
21 be incurred by the County by reason of this consolidation and agrees to re-
3 imburse the County for any such costs.
TI Section 4. That the City Clerk of the City cf San Jacinto is 'hereby
5i directed to 'file a certified copy of this resolution vuith the Recistrar of
=6I Voters or Riverside County.
