JACINTO DESIGNATING CERTAIN REAL PROPERTIES AS BEING
3 INCLUDED WITHIN A SURVEY AREA FOR REDEVELOPhIENT COM-
SIDERATIONS; AND PIRECTING STAFF, THE PLANNING COM-
4 MISSION AND REDEVELOPMFNT AGENCY TO CONDUCT THE
NECESSARY PUBLIC:HEARINGS AND PREPARE THE NECESSARY
5 REPORTS FOR CONSIDERATION AiID ADOPTION OF THE SAN
JACINTO REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA(S) AND PLANS)

7 WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto created the San Jacinto Redevelopment
8' Agency on May 4th, 19B2, by Orcinance No. 725 for purposes of pursuing rede-
9 velopment activities in the community; and
10 WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Jacinto entered into
11 a contract with:a redevelopment consultant to formulate a redevelopment pro-
12 gram for the City of San JacinLo; 'and
13I WHEREAS, the findings and conclusions of previous redevelopment analysis
14 concluded that redevelopment in the City of San Jacinto is a viable proce
15 and financial mechanism for eliminating and/or mitigating existing and poten-
16 tial physical , social and economic blight through community improvement and
17 enhancement which cannot be expected to be reversed or alleviated by private

21 m ent and enhancement programs aimed at the elimination of blight.
22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVcD, DETERMINED AND OF;DERED BY THE CITY COUNT
23 OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINIo, AS FOLLOWS:
24 Section 1 . The San Jacinto Redevelolxuent Survey Area hereinafter refer
25 to as "Survey frea -3 " is hereby designated as is set forth in Attachment "A
26 and is described as beino contiguous to the boundaries of the City of San
27 Jacinto.

28'�(( Section 2. Survey Area-' 3 is hereby designated for the purpose of fur-
29 I t1:er study and review to determine and identify a redevelopment project or
30 projects and a redevelopment project area or areas.
31' Section 3. In cooperation with the Redevelopment Agency, the Staff a,
32 Planning Conmission are hereby directed to select one or more project areas

1 comprising all or ;part of the survey area and shall furmulate a redevelopuent
2 plan far the redevelopnenL of each selected project area.
3 Section 4. In `accordance with the California Community Development Law
4 Sections 33UUU et seg. of the California Health and Safety Code, the Staff,
5 Planning Coioaission and Redevelolmerrt Agency are hereby directed to conduct
6 the necessary public Wrings, prepare the necessary reports, formulate a pre-
7 1iminary and final plan and c•1upiete the l ra

10 Section 5. the City Clerk is hereby authorized and di ected to transmit
11 a cupy of this Resolution to the Planning Cmmaksion of the City of San Jacinto

13 and required actions.`
