2�� A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO RECO'1MENDINO_ TO THE STATE OF
3 ' CALIFORNIA AND THE CALIFORNIA YOUTH AND
4� CORRECTIONAL AGENCY THE LOCATION AND DEVELOPMENT
OF A CORRECTIONAL FACILITY IN THE BLYTHE AREA
WHEREAS, the State and the Agency showed interest in July of 1984 in
Blythe as a site for the Riverside County Correctional Facility; and

14HEREAS, on December 10, 1984, the Agency announced the nriority site
list naminq the Blythe Sixth .Avenue Site as number one (l) priority and the
Blythe Airport Site as number two (2) priority; and
4:HEREAS, the water rights issue may preclude the use of the Blythe ,Air-
!lIl port site; and
10 I -1HEREAS, six hundred and fifty acres of the Sixth Avenue Site is within
the Palo Verde Irrigation District and has undisputable water rights and is
11 the number one nriority site.
12 N041, 'THEREFORE, the City Courcil of'the City of San „acinto hereby
resolves and supoorts the location and development of a Correctional Faclity
13 in the Blythe Area.
