A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO, CALIFORNIA APPROVING AN AMWDMENT TO THE JOINT
POWERS AGREIIV1ENT ESTABLISHING THE COACHELLA VALLEY
JOINT POWERS INSURANCE AUTHORITY.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Article 25 of the Joint Powers
Agreement creating the Coachella Valley Joint Powers
Insurance Authority, dated July 25, 1985, the City of San
Jacinto hereby resolves to amend the Joint Powers Agreement,
as follows:
AMNDb `:i' TO THE JOINT POWERS AGREEMENT creating
the COAC HELLA VALLEY JOINT POWERS INSURANCE
AUTHORITY SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE IF THERE IS A
TWO-THIRDS FAVORABLE VOTE.
WHEREAS, neither CVAG, its Executive Committee, or its
employees shall have any powers or duties with respect to
the supervision or control of the Authority.
CVAG shall continue as a Member organization with
voting rights. WRCOG (Western Riverside Council of
Governments) heretofore a Member organization without vote
shall hence forth have the vote as any other Member
organization.
WHEREAS, in lieu dues required to be paid by Member
organizations to CVAG shall remain unchanged, but be phased
out, as follows:
FY 1995-96 - 100% dues
FY 1996-97 - 50% dues
Thereafter - 0% dues
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of San Jacinto hereby approve the proposed
amendment to the CVJPIA joint powers agreement as provided
by the MOU dated March 29, 1995 and made part of the
resolution.
MOVED, PASSED, AND ADOPTEDthis 18th day of April 1995
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Leahv, Oaks , Williams and Mayor Solnrio
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: Council Seat Vacant

San Jacinto on the date set forth therein.
