A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
CALIFORNIA REQUESTING METROPOLITAN WATER DISTRICT TO IMPLEMENT A
MANAGEMENT STRUCTURE FOR THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF THE
RECREATION FACILITIES AT THE DOMENIGONI RESERVOIR WHICH INCLUDES
REPRESENTATION OF LOCAL AGENCIES, THE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE, CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CITY OF HEMET AND COMMUNITY OF WINCHESTER.
WHEREAS, Metropolitan Water District has made the decision to
locate a major water storage reservoir in the Domenigoni
Valley; and,
WHEREAS, extensive recreation facilities will be an integral part
of the reservoir; and,
WHEREAS, the reservoir and related recreation will have far-reaching
impacts and benefits to the local communities; and,
WHEREAS, a committee composed of a wide range of local interests
has had an integral part in all phases of recreation
planning to date; and,
WHEREAS, it is of paramount importance that local input be a continuing
integral part of the construction, management, and maintenance
decisions involving recreation facilities at the reservoir.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED,that the City Council requests that
The Metropolitan Water District implement a management structure
for the maintenance and operation of the recreation facilities at
the Domenigoni Reservoir which includes representation of local
agencies including the County of Riverside, City of San jacinto,
City of Hemet and Community of Winchester.
Adopted at the regular meeting of the San Jacinto City Council duly held on the 21st day
of December, 1993.
