A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
FOR THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO APPOINTING
CITY® S REPRESENTATIVE FOR SETTLEMENT CONFERENCE
RECITALS
WHEREAS, the City of San Jacinto is currently in litigation
in the matter entitled Hesser v. City of San Jacinto, Riverside
Superior Court No. 211117 . Judgment was entered in favor of the
City and plaintiffs have appealed that judgment to the Fourth
District Court of Appeal, Division Two; and
WHEREAS, the Court of Appeal has ordered that a Settlement
Conference on the case be held at the Court located at 303 West
Fifth Street, San Bernardino, California, 9 : 30 A.M. , January 12 ,
1994 ; and
WHEREAS, Court Rule 4 (f) (6) requires all parties to be
present at the conference, including the full governing board,
unless such presence is excused; and further, that the City
Council may appoint a representative to appear at such settlement
conference in its place,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of San Jacinto does hereby appoint and authorize Anna Vega,
City Finance Director and Risk Manager, to represent the City
Council at the settlement conference described in the recitals
hereof and at any extension or continuances thereof. The
representative appointed herein shall have authority to negotiate

and recommend appropriate settlements subject only to final
approval of the City Council.
MOVED, PASSED and ADOPTED this 21st day of December, 1993 ,
at a regular meeting of the City Council for the City of San
Jacinto by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Ford , Leahy, Solorio, Williams , Mayor Haflig
NOES: None
ABSTAIN: None
ABSENT: None

19 The City Council for the City of San Jacinto, hereby requests
20 that its full presence at the Settlement Conference scheduled for
21 January 12 , 1994 , at 9 : 30 A.M. , be excused. In its place the
22 Council requests that it be permitted to send Anna Vega, City
23 Finance Director and Risk Manager, as its representative to fully
24 participate in the conference, subject only to final approval of
25 the Council as to agreements negotiated.
26 This request is made in that it would be impractical to
27 obtain the presence of the full Council at the conference due to

1 the various job schedules and appointments of the individual
2 council members.
3 Attached to this application is the Resolution of the Council
4 appointing and authorizing Anna Vega to act as its representative
5 at such conference.
