A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
ESTABLISHING AN AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN THE CALIFORNIA
DEPARTMENT OF FORESTRY AND FIRE PROTECTION AND THE CITY OF SAN
JACINTO FOR THE PROVISION OF WILDLAND FIRE PROTECTION IN CERTAIN
AREAS OF THE NEWLY ADOPTED ANNEXATION NO. 66 FOR PERIOD APRIL 1,
1995 THROUGH JUNE 30, 1996
WHEREAS, Section 4142 of the Public Resources Code provides that the
Director of the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection may enter into
cooperative agreements with local jurisdictions for the purpose of providing wildland fire
protection; and
WHEREAS, The City of San Jacinto has the responsibility for protection of life,
property, and wildland areas indicated on the plat attached to the Agreement hereto
and marked "Exhibit A" of the attached Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the State has agreed to and has represented that it has the ability to
provide basic wildland fire protection for said area, of the type and degree which it not
provides on adjacent State Responsibility Areas.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO that in consideration of the rights and duties set forth in the attached
Agreement, it does hereby agree to the said attached Agreement with the California
Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
MOVED, PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of April, 1995 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Leahy, Oaks , Williams and Mayor Solorio
NOES: None
ABSENT: Council Seat Vacant
ABSTAIN: None
