2 RESOLUTION DECLARING THAT PROCEEDINGS HAVE
BEEN INITIATED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
3 OF SAN JACINTO TO ANNEX TO SAID CITY CERTAIN
UNINHABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN AND
4 DESIGNATED "ANNEXATION NO. 63" AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE PROPOSED ANNEXATION.

6 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO:
7 L. That, pursuant to the provisions of the Annexation of
8 Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, proceedings have been initiated
9 by the Council of the City of San Jacinto, on its own motion, to
10 annex to the City of San Jacinto all that uninhabited territory
11 situate in the County of Riverside, State of California, hereby
12 designated as 'Annexation No. 6" and described as follows:

All that uninhabited territory situated in the County of River-
side, State of California, and described as follows:
1 Portions of Sections 27 and 34, T4S., R1W., located in Rancho San Jacinto
2 Viejo, as shown on Map of the San Jacinto Land Association, San,Jacinto Rancho,
3 Book 8, Page 357, Records of San Diego County, California, more specifically
4 described as follows:
5 Beginning at the intersection of the center line of De Anza Drive (Formerly .
6 Hollywood Drive) and the center line of Grand Avenue as shown on map, Record of
7 Survey Book 12, Page 25, Records of the Recorder, County of Riverside, said
8 portion of Grand Avenue having been vacated by the County of Riverside, by
9 Instrument No. 57015 dated May 31, 1966, said point also being on the present
10 city boundary line of the city of San Jacinto, California.
11 Thence N. 45° 22' 00" W., along the center line of De Anza Drive (Formerly
12 Hollywood ➢rive), •a distance of 1,632.82 feet more or less, as shown on said map,
13 Record of Survey Book 12, Page 25, said center line also being the northeast line
14 of Lots No. 140 and 141, as shown on said map, Book 8, Page 357, Records of San
15 Diego County, California, to the northeasterly prolongation of the southeast line
16 of that certain parcel conveyed to J. R. Black, by deed recorded in Book 56,
1-7 Page 328, Records of San Diego County„California;
18 Thence S. 44° 41' 001' W., a distance of 170.00 feet, more or less, to the
19 south corner of said parcel;
20 ` Thence N. 45° 22' 00" W., a distance of 165.00 feet, more or less;
21 Thence S. 44°'41' 00" W., a distance of 72.00 feet more or less;
22 Thence N. 450 22' 00" W., a distance of 150,10 feet, more or less, to the
23 north line of that certain parcel conveyed to Wm. W. Baxter by Instrument No. 2271,
24 dated October 20, 1947.
25 Thence West along said north line of said .parcel, a distance of 754.32 feet,
26 more or less, to the northwest corner thereof;
27 1 Thence S. 43° 15' 00" E., along the southwest line of said parcel, a distance
23 I of 1498.20 feet, more or less, to the northwest line of that certain parcel conveyed
29 to George and Gertrude D. Dykstra, by Instrument No. 4591 dated July 30, 1942;
30 Thence S. 44° 41' 0011 W., along the northwest line of said parcel a distance
31 2 of 237.60 feet, more or less to the most westerly corner of said parcel;
Thence S. 45° 22' 0011 E., a distance of 397.38 feet, more or less, to a
1 point on the center line of Cottonwood Avenue, said point being a distance of
2 775.82 feet, more or less, westerly from the southeast corner of Lot No. 141, as
3 shown on said map of said Record of Survey Book 12, Page 25, Records of the
4 Recorder, County of Riverside, California; said center line also being the north
5 line of Lot No. 154 as shown on said Nan Book 8, Page 357, Records of San Diego
6 County, California;
7 Thence S. 89° 39' 30" W., along the center line of Cottonwood Avenue, to a
8 point distant.• 552.22 feet, more or less, easterly from the northwest corner of sai�
9 Section 34, T4S., R1W., measured along said center line of said Cottonwood Avenue;
10 Thence south along a line parallel to the west line of said Section 34, T4S.,
11 R1W., a distance of 1290.00 feet, more or less, to the south line of that certain
12 I parcel conveyed to the city of San Jacinto by Instrument No. 1407, dated December
13 21, 1936, Records of the Recorder, County of Riverside, California.
14 Thence easterly, along the south line of said parcel, as conveyed to said
15 city of San Jacinto, a distance of 744.81 feet, more or less, to the said center
16 line of Grand Avenue;
17 Thence along the center line of Grand Avenue to the point of beginning.

1 ` 2. That the Council of the City of San Jacinto desires to
2 ' annex said uninhabited territory to the City of San Jacinto for the
3 , following reasons : The territory is contiguous to the City of San
i
4I Jacinto, and its proposed annexation will contribute to and
511 facilitate the orderly growth and development of both the City and
it
61 the territory proposed to be annexed; will bring the municipally-
71 owned land formerly used as a sewer farm within the city limits;
8ij will facilitate and contribute to the proper and orderly layout,
911 design and construction of streets, gutters, sidewalks, sanitary
10 and storm water sewers and drainage facilities, both within the City
ll ;l and within the territory proposed to be annexed; and will provide
12 and facilitate proper overall planning and zoning of lands, and
I
13 subdivision of lands in said City and said uninhabited territory,
141 in a manner most conducive to the welfare of said City and said
15 uninhabited territory.
161 3. That the Local Agency Formation Commission of Riverside j
17g County, California, did in session duly assembled on or about l
1S September 21, 1966, approve the proposed annexation together with
191 the boundaries of said "Annexation No. 6" as above described and as

20j1 submitted to said Commission by the Council of the City of San
2?;� Jacinto, after the Commission modified said annexation by including
221 one additional parcel on De Anza Drive.

231 4. That Wednesday, November 9, 1966, at the hour of 7 :30
241 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the Council may hear it, in the Court- {
25 room, San Jacinto Justice Court, at 300 East Main Street in the City
26 of San Jacinto, County of Riverside, California, is hereby fixed as

271 the time and place when and where any person owning real property
28i within the uninhabited territory above described and proposed to be
29 annexed to the City of San Jacinto, and having any objections to thel

30 proposed annexation, may appear before the Council of the City of
31 San Jacinto and show cause why such uninhabited territory should not

be so annexed to said City of San Jacinto. Such protest must be in

3 names of the owner or owners of property affected, and the
4 description and area of such property, in general terms . Said pro-
5 tests may be filed with the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto

611 at 308 E. Main Street, San Jacinto, California.

7 5 . The City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto is hereby
8 , authorized and directed to cause a copy of this resolution to be
i
9i published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week, in the
10 Valley Register, a newspaper of general circulation published in
11 said City of San Jacinto, the city to which it is proposed to annex
12 the aforesaid territory, and also in -Tk QW1 Oy 1 S* a
13i newspaper of general circulation published outside the City of San
141 Jacinto, but in the County of Riverside, California, the county in

151, which is located the territory proposed to be annexed to the City
161, of San Jacinto, said publication to be complete at least twenty (20)
1 days prior to the date set for hearing.
181 6. The City Clerk is further authorized and directed to I
191 cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to f

201 each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be annexed
21"� is assessed in the last equalized county assessment roll available
22i on the date the above said proceedings were initiated, at the
23 � addresses shown on said assessment roll or known to the Clerk, and
4 to any person who has filed his name and address and the designation
21 of the lands in which he has an interest, either legal or equitable,',
261 with the Clerk, such notice to be given not less than twenty (20)
271 days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
281 7 . In the event any land within the territory proposed to
29 be annexed is owned by a county, the City Clerk is directed to cause'
301 written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to the Boardx
311 of Supervisors of the county, such notice to be given not less than
'5,2 twenty (20) days before the first public hearing on the proposed

2 , 8 . In the event there is, upon the land proposed to be
3 annexed, a structural improvement owned, being acquired or leased
I
4 by a county fire protection district, the said Clerk is directed to
5 cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
6 the governing body of such district, such notice to be sent not
7 less than ten (10) days before the first public hearing upon such
I
81 annexation.
9 9. The City Clerk is directed to cause written notice to
10i be given to such other persons as may be legally entitled thereto,
11 in the manner required by law.
