2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF
3 THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY
OF SAN JACINTO ON THE 12TH DAY OF APRIL, 1966,
4 DECLARING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER
MATTERS AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW.

6 WHEREAS, a regular general municipal election was held and
conducted in the City of San Jacinto, County of Riverside, State of
7 California, on Tuesday, the 12th day of April, 1966, as required by
law; and

WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
9 given in time, form and manner as provided by law; that voting
precincts were properly established; that election officers were
10 appointed and that in all respects said election was held and con-
ducted and the votes cast thereat, received and canvassed and the
11: returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by
the provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for
12 the holding of elections in cities ; and
13 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 678 adopted the 5th
day of April, 1966, the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto can-
14 vassed the returns of said election and has certified the results
to this City Council, said results are received, attached and made
15 a part hereof as "Exhibit A."
16 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :

SECTION 1 . That there were three voting precincts estab-
18 lished for the purpose of holding said election consisting of con-
solidations of the regular election precincts in the City of San
19 Jacinto as established for the holding of state and county elections .
2.0 SECTION 2 . That said regular general municipal election
was held for the purpose of electing the following officers of said
21 City as required by the laws relating to cities in the State of
California, to wit :

Two (2) members of the City Council of said City
23 for -the full term of four years .
24 SECTION 3 . That the whole number of votes cast in said
City 'except absent voter ballots' was 1263 .

That the whole number of absent voter ballots cast in said
26 City was 18, making a total of 1281 votes cast in said City.
27 SECTION 4. That the names of persons voted for at said
election for Member of the City Council of said City are as follows :

29 R. J. Stevens Steve Fairfield
Andrew Hayhome Dale Leonard
30 Steve Stierstorfer
31 That the number of votes given at each precinct and the
number of votes given in the City to each of such persons above
32 named for the respective offices for which said persons were can-

1 didates were as listed in Exhibit "A" attached.
2 SECTION 5 . The City Council does declare and determine

that :
R. J. Stevens was elected as Member of the
4 City Council of said City for the full term
of four years ;

Andrew Hayhome was elected as Member of the
6 City Council of said City for the full term
7 of four years .
SECTION 6 . The City Clerk shall enter on the records of
8 the City Council of said City, a statement of the result of said
9 election, showing:
(1) The whole number of votes cast in the city;
10 (2) The names of the persons voted for;
(3) The measures voted upon;
11 (4) For what office each person was voted for;
(5) The number of votes given at each precinct to each

person, and for and against each measure;
(6) The number of votes given in the city to each per-
13 son, and for and against each measure .
14 SECTION 7 . That the City Clerk shall immediately make and,
upon compliance by the persons elected with the provisions of
15 Section 11565 and Section 11568 of the Elections Code of the State
of California, shall deliver to each of such persons so elected a
16 Certificate of Election signed by her and duly authenticated; that
she shall also administer to each person elected, the Oath of Office
17 prescribed in the State Constitution of the State of California and
shall have them subscribe thereto and file the same in her office .
18 Whereupon, each and all of said persons so elected shall be inducted
19 into the respective office to which they have been elected.
SECTION 8 . That the City Clerk shall certify to the
2.0 passage and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
book of original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a minute
21 of the passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceed-
ings of the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting
22 at which the same is passed and adopted.
23 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of April, 1966.
