I RESOLUTION NO. 668
2 A RESOLUTION PROHIBITING ANGLE PARKING
ON THIRD STREET BETWEEN SAN JACINTO AVENUE
3 AND SHERIFF STREETS.
4 WHEREAS, by past action this Council determined that
angle parking would be permitted on certain portions of Third
5 Street between San Jacinto Avenue and Sheriff Street in the City
of San Jacinto;

AND WHEREAS, the Division of Highways, State of California,
7 has informed this Council that the aforesaid street will not qualify
for use of certain State Gas Tax Funds for its improvement and
8 maintenance if angle parking is permitted on the street with its
present width;

NOW THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the j
10 City of San Jacinto, State of California, in regular session
assembled this 8th day of February, 1966, as follows :

(1) That the provisions of all resolutions and motions 12
of this City Council authorizing angle parking on Third Street
13 in the City of San Jacinto between San Jacinto Avenue and Sheriff
Street are hereby repealed, effective April 1, 1966, and angle
parking on said street is hereby prohibited on and after April 1,

1966;
15 (2) The traffic engineer is hereby directed to cause all
markings, as provided by Ordinance No. 358 of this city, indicating
16 the proper use of angle parking on the street hereinabove described, ;
to be removed or obliterated and he shall post signs on said street
17 for a period of at least one month indicating that only parallel
parking is authorized after April 1, 1966;

(3) Nothing in this resolution shall be construed to
19 prohibit angle parking on any other street which any other
ordinance or resolution of this city has heretofore authorized
20 except the portion of the street hereinabove described.
21 ADOPTED the 8th day of February, 1966, and signed this
22 8th day of February, 1966.
