OF SAN JACINTO_ ACKNOWLEDGING` THE RECEIPT OF
3 NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CIRCULATE A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF 'TERRITORY DESIGNATED
4 AS "ANNEXATION NUMBER FIVE" AND AN AFFIDAVIT
OF PUBLICATION THEREOF AND APPROVING THE
5 CIRCULATION OF THE PETITION
g , WHEREAS, on October 1964, there was filed with
711' the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto a copy of a notice of
$ intention to circulate a, petition relating to annexation of certain
9i territory to the City of San Jacinto, under the Annexation Act of
10I 1913, pertaining to territory designated as "Annexation Number Five",
11 accompanied by a written statement containing reasons for the :
12 petition together with an affidavit of publication of said notice in
13 the Valley Register; and
14 WHEREAS, the Annexation Act of 1913 provides that the
15''1legislative body may adopt a resolution acknowledging receipt of the
16 ' notice and approving the circulation of the petition;
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
18 City of San Jacinto:
19 1 . That the receipt of the notice, statement and affidavit
20 is hereby acknowledged, and that approval is hereby given for the
21 circulation of the petition for annexation of that territory desig
22 nated as "Annexation Number Five", twenty-one days after the publi-
231cation of said notice and. statement .
24 2 . The City Clerk ''shall certify to the adoption of this
25 resolution.
