A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO REFERRING THE PETITION FOR THE COM-
MENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF
1 CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITCRY DESIGNATED AS nAN-
2 NEXATION NO. 5 n TO THE PLANNING COMMISSION.
3 Whereas, on April 20.. 1964, Petition No.1 in the files of the
City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto was presented to t1m City
4 Council of the City of San Jacinto, requesting the Council to give
its consent to the commencement of annexation proceedings in connee-
5 tion with that certain inhabited territory therein referred to and
generally described, which is contigions to the City of San Jacinto, and
6 Whereas, said Petition was referred to the Planning Commission
7 of the City of San Jacinto for investigation, report and recommenda-
tion by the City Manager of said City; and
8 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission rendered its report and recom-
9 mendation to the Council on the 20th day of April, 1964 favoring the
commencement of annexation proceedings; and
10 WHEREAS, this Council did give its consent to the commencement
11 of proceedings for the annexation of the said territory by Resolu-
tion No.621 of said Council; and
12 WHEREAS, it has been brought to the attention of the Council that
the Council did not formally refer the Petition No.1 to the Plan.
13 ning Commission prior to that commission's investigation, report and
14 recommendation; and
WHEREAS, this council desires that there be no question about
15 the authority of the City Manager of the City of San Jacinto to
16 refer the said petition to the Planning Commission,
17 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLM by the pity Council of the City
of San Jacinto;
18 1. The authority of the City Manager of the City of San Jacinto
19 to refer Petition No.1 to the City Planning Commission of the City
of San Jacinto for investigation, report and recommendation on April
20 20, 1964 be and is now hereby ratified fully and effective as if
this Council had at that time referred the said Petition to said
21 Commission.
22 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this reso-
lution.
