RESOLUTION NO. 820
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIIE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT
OF A SPECIAL ELECTION HELD IN AN INHABITED
TERRITORY CONTIGUOUS TO THE CITY OF SAN JAC-
4 INTO ON THE 29TH DAY OF APRIL, 1969, DECLAR-
ING THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS
5 AS ARE PROVIDED BY LAW RELATING TO ANNEXATION

N�O. 9 .
7 WHEREAS, a special election was: held and conducted in an 4
inhabited territory contiguous to the City of San Jacinto, County
t3 of Riverside, State of California, on Tuesday, the 29th day of
April, 1969, pertaining to the annexation of territory known as
9 "Annexation No. 9 " ; and
10 WHEREAS, notice of said election was duly and regularly
given in time, form and manner as; provided by law; that voting
11 precincts were properly established ; that the election was proper-
ly conducted' by absent voter ballot and that in all respects said
12 election was held and conducted and the votes cast thereat, re-
ceived %and canvassed and the returns made and declared in time,
13 form and manner as required by the provisions of the Government
Code and Elections Code of the State of California for the holding
14 of special election to considerannexation of inhabited territory ;
cities; and

1 WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No . 814 adopted the 12th
161 day of March, 1969, the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto can-
vassed the returns of said election and has certified the results
17 to this City Council, said 'results are received, attached and made
a part hereof as "Exhibit A. "

NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
19 CALIFORNIA, DOES RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS :
?0 SECTION 1. That there was one voting precinct established
for the purpose of holding said election consisting of the entire'
21 territory described as Annexation No. 9` in Resolution No. 814
in the County of Riverside as established for the holding of the
221i special election,''
20 SECTION 2 ; That said special election was held for the
purpose of submitting to the electors of said territory the follow-
241 ing measure, to-wit ;
25 SHALL "ANNEXATION NO. 9 " BE ANNEXED TO THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO?

SECTION 3 . That the whole number of votes cast in said
27 election (except absent voter ballots) was 0 1
28 That the whole number of absent-: voter ballots case- in said
election was -3 making a total of __. 3 votes

and the number of votes given in the territory known as "Annexation '

1I SECTION 5 . That as "a result of said election, a majority'
1 of the qualified voters voting on said measure relating: to the
2 � annexation of "Annexation NO. 9 to the City of San Jacinto did
vote in favor thereof, and that said proposition was carried,
3 and shall be deemed adopted and ratified.
4 SECTION 6. The City Clerk shall enter on the records of
the City Council of said City, a statement of the result of said
5i election, showing :
6 (1) The whole number of votes cast in the territory;
7 (2 ) The measures voted upon;
8 (3 ) The number of votes given at each precinct for and
9 against each measure';
(4) The number of votes given in the city for and against
10 ( each 'measure.
11 SECTION 7 . That the City Clerk shall certify to the pass-
age and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the
12 book of original Resolutions of said City ; and shall make a minute
of the ,;passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceed
13 ings of the city Council of said City, in the minutes of the
meeting at which the same is passed and adopted .
