RESOLUTION NO. 796
2 A RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING MINIMUM AND VOLUME
RATES FOR WATER SERVICE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE
3 THE CITY OF SAN=JACINTO, AND SUPERSEDING
CERTAIN RATES ESTABLISHED BY RESOLUTIONS NO.
719 and 724.

5 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE City of San Jacinto
6 sitting in regular session this 5th day of November, 1968 as follows;:
7 1. This resolution supersedes and repeals Resolutions No.
8 ! 719 adopted January 10, 1967, and Resolution No. 7244 adopted March ;
91 7, 1967 and all other previous resolutions on this 'subject, by
to changing the charges for water. The rates for water sold to regu-
11 lar metered service in the City of San Jacinto shall be as follows
12 for a two-month period :
13 For the first 2, 000 cubic feet or less $ 6.50
141 For the next 4, 000 cubic feet the charge shall be

16 For the next 4,000 cubic feet, the ;charge per

20 For water consumed in excess of 20, 000 cubic feet,
21 the charge per 100 cubic feet shall be $ .13
22 ) 2. This resolution also supersedes the immediately' above
20 described resolutions by changing the rates for regular metered
24 service for water sold outside the City of San Jacinto by the City
25 of 'San Jacinto. The rates for water consumer at regular metered
26 service sold outside the city of San Jacinto shall be as follows :
27 For the first 2,000 cubic feet or less $ 10 .50
28 I For the next 4,000 cubic feet, the charge for
29 100 cubic feet shall be $ .23

Resolution No 724. The minimum charge for any rental period of
21 less than thirty days shall be $5 .00, payable in advance, for the
3 first two days or less, and a charge of $1.00 `per day for eacli day {
41 following the first two days of use. For temporary metered service
0 hired for a minimum period of thirty days or more, 'a minimum charge
61 of $15 .00 shall be paid in advance for the first thirty days and
I fifty cents a day will be charged for each day thereafter. In
of addition to the minimum charges of this paragraph, the user shall j
g pay the rates for quantities of water prescribed in paragraphs 1
10 and 2 hereinabove without regard to minimum rate. Thus, ; a temporary
111 metered service for three days using one thousand cubic feet inside
12 the city shall be charged $9.00, and temporary metered service hired
1:3 for a thirty day rental ;period for 31 days of use, having consumed
14 2,100 cubic feet inside the city shall be charged $21.50. For
15 purposes of this paragraph, the per day charge shall be charged
16 upon a five day week® All of the foregoing mites shall apply;when
17i the user agrees to return the water meter to the city in as good
18 , condition as it was loaned to him, ordinary wear and tear excepted.
19 In the event the user refuses to agree to be the absolute insurer
20 of the water meter, ordi4-zary wear and tear excepted, the foregoing
21 minimum rates shall be doubled.
22 6® Pursuant to 21-28 (b) and as previously established by
23 Resolution No 724, a $1.00 service charge for each water tank
24 filled, together with the regular volume rates, shall apply for
25 each tank of water filled.
26 7 . The provisions of this resolution shall become effective
27 upon the first two-month billing period commencing after December
28 208 1968.
