HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution - 795 f� it a rw-- 1 RESOLUTION NO. 2 A RESOLUTIO11 OF TEE COUNCIL Or TUE CITE' OF SAN JACIVTO CONSENTING TO TEE COMMEN'CE-- 3 MEET OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE AM7,XATIOIT OF CERTAIN INHABITED TERRITORY DESIGNATED 5 WHEREAS, on or about August 61 1�68 the city council of the City of San Jacinto by its resolution No. 789 declared its in- 6 tention- to initiate on its own motion proceedings to annex certain unihabited territory designated as Annexation No, 10, and WHEREAS the said proceeding was referred to the P"la ing 8 Commission of the City of San Jacinto for an investigation :,nd re- port concerning the proposed annexation ;proceedings of said terri- 91 otory either as `uinhibited or as inhabited territory and the Plan- nin Commission by its resolution No. 6€-17 on or about August 13, 10 1Q,6 recommended to the City Council that the proposed annexation proceedings be initiated either under the provisions of the A ec - 11 ( ticn Act of 1913 or by the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory " of 1939, depending upon the number of registered voters residing 12 I in said territory- and 1.311 WHEREAS CRtAS the Focal Agency Formation Commission of Riverside County considered the proposed annexation at its regular meeting of 14 October x3 1968 and approved the proposed annexation proceeding condi°tio� t4 Up' on trap modification of the boundaries of the territory 151 proposed to be annexated by deleting approximately the southerly three hundred feet of said territory along Sark Jac nto Street, p 16 I sua.nt to the provisions of Chapter 6.61 ;Part 19 Division 2, Title 17 5 of the Government Code ; and ' AS` the Local Agency Formation Commission determined upon 18 report ;of the County Clerk of Riverside County that the ;proposed territory to be annexed was inhabited and accordingly approved the 19 ; annexation of said territory pursuant to the provisions of the 1, Annexation .Act of 15,13 3 and 2© WHEREAS the City Council h" not heretofore considered the 21 proposed annexation proceedings in view of the saidterritory being inhabited and with boundaries as modifiers by the Local Agency Forma- 22 tion Commission* 23 j NQ17 T HEREF OFF y BE IT REFSOUTE'D by the CityCouncil of the City of wan Jacinto in regular session this 5th day of November 1 068 as 25 1 1 .
