A RESOLUTION OF "'HE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO DECLrARING ITS INTENTION TO CALL A
SPECIAL ANNEXATION ELECTION AND FIXING A TIME

AND PLACE FOR PRUTESTS BY PROPERTY OL;NERS.

41 BE IT RESOLVED by thos City Council of the City of San Jacinto-,
1, That it is the intention of the City Council of the City of

Sari Jacinto to call a special election to be held in certain inhabited

Iterritory contiguous to said city proposed to be annexed theretoo for

lthe purpose of submitting to the qualified voters residing in said
9 territory the question of whether or not said territory shall be an-
1-0 Inexed to the City of San Jacinto.
11. Said territory is described as Follows:
12 i All of farm lots 71 and '73 and a portion of farm lot 69
of the San Jacinto Land Association as shown by map on file
13 in Book 8, Page 357 of Maps, Records of San Diego Countyv
State of California, being in Section 35, 'rotanship 4 South,
14 1 Range I West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, in said
Riverside Countyt State of California, being more particu-
15 ;Carly described as follows'
16 Beginning at the most Southeasterly corner of said farm
lot 73, also being point of the center lines of San
17 Jacinto Avenue and >Esplanade Avenue;

1 2e That said territory hereby is designated and identified
2 I as "Annexation No. 9 . "
3II 3 . Notice is hereby given that on the 8th day of October,
4. 'i1968, at the hour of 7 :30 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the Council
5 ; may hear the matter, in the Courtroom of the San Jacinto Justice
6icourt, at 300 East Main St. , `San `Jacinto, California, any person
7 owning real property within said territory so proposed to be annex-
8 ed and having any objection to the proposed annexation may appear '
9 ! before said City Council and show cause why such territory should
10 not be annexed. Such protest must be in writing and shall state
lli the name or names of the owner or owners of the property affected
12 by such 'annexation and the location and area of such property , in
13 general terms® if it be found that the protest is not made by
14 public and private owners equal to one-half of the, value' of the
15 territory further proceedings shall be taken in accordance with
16 ! the law for the holding of such special election,
17 4e The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this
18i resolution and cause the same to be published in the Valley Register
19I once a week for the two weeks prior to the hearing, and to cause
20 copies of this resolution to be posted in at least three public
211lplaces within the said territory proposed to be annexed hereafter
22 described at least ten days prior to the hearing The public`
23Iplaces shall lie within reasonable proximity to the public rights
24 of way adjacent to the improved roads as follows : (1) on the
25 Inortheast corner of the intersection of Santa; Fe street and Esplan--
26 ade Street, (2) on the northwest corner of the intersection of
27 San Jacinto Street and Esplanade Street at Potter's Hamburger Stand,
28 and (3) On the west side of San Jacinto Street at or near the
29
westerly prolongation of the center line of Shaver: Street, �
