CIT°v'.' OF SAN JACINTO OFFERING TO SHARE WITH
3 THE 'COUNTY OF 'RIVERSIDE IN THE EXPENSE OF
IMPROVEMENT OF SEVENTH STREET EAST OF HEWITT
4 STREET ALONG THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO.

6 This Resolution is made for the following reasons ;)
A. By previous resolution of the City Council of the City of
CI'i San Jacinto, the City of San Jacinto agreed to obtain the right of
way located within the boundaries of the City of San Jacinto neces-
10 ' sary for the widening of Seventh Street from the present thirty
11 foot width if the County of Riverside obtained the necessary right

1of way located in the adjacent unincorporated area.
13 B. All right of way has been obtained in the City of San Jac-
14 into and it is the understanding of the City Council that the County
15joi Riverside; has obtained all necessary right of way in the unin-
16 corporated area.
17 C . The Road Department of the County of Riverside has prepared
18 studies; and costs estimates for the improvement of approximately
10 .44 of a mile of roadway on Seventh Street easterly from the, inter-
20Isection' of Hewitt Street in which the estimated cost of the improve-
211Iments has been set at the sum of $28, 365 .75 .
22 Ds The proposed improvements will generally lie one-half in I I
25l the City of San Jacinto and one-half in the adjacent unincorporated
24 area.
25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
25 of San Jacinto sitting in regular session this 7th day ;of May, 1968
- 27 as follows ;
28 1 . The City Council finds that the improvement of Seventh
29 Street as described hereinabove to the standards of a secondary
i
30 highway is essential for the proper circulation of traffic in the
31 ieasterly area of the City of San .Jacinto and environs and is a
32 logical first step in the eventual development of ;seventh Street

I east of the present city boundaries .
2 2 . The City of San Jacinto offers to share equally with the
, County ,of Riverside in the costs of improvement of the -.44 of a
i
4 � mile length of Seventh Street as described above if the County of
51 Riverside will supervise the improvement as a county project in the
same manner as if the improvements were entirely located in the
7 unincorporated area of the County of Riverside and the City of San
8 ' Jacinto will reimburse the County of Riverside one-half of the costs
91of the improvements in a lump sum ;upon ''completion.

101 3 .' The City Clerk is instructed to certify to the adoption. of
11lthis resolution and to transmit certified copies hereof to the Board
1
12lof Supervisors, County of Riverside, and to the Road Department,
3 I County of Riverside .
14 4. The City Manager is instructed to place in the preliminary
151 Midget =for the 1968-1969 fiscal year of this city as a general fund
16lexpense the sum of $14, 187 .88 for the road project described herein.
