2 A RESOL€JTION OF TIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SAN JACINTO, CALIFORNIA, CALLING ;AND GIVING
17 NOTICE OF THE HOLDING OF A CENERAL 'MUNICIPAL
TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON TLtESDAY, THE 9TH
A DAY OF APRIL, 1968, ;FOR THE ELECTION OF CERTAIN i
OFFICERS OF SAID .CITY AS REQUIRED BY THE PROVI=
5 SIONS OF THE LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RELATING TO GENERAL LAW CITIES.
WHEREAS, under the provisions of the laws relating to General '
8; Law Cities in the State of California, a regular general municipal
9 election shall be held on. the 9th day of April, 1968, for the
101 election of 8 members of the City Council of said City for the full
11 term of four years, a City Clerk of said City for the full term of
121 four years, and a City Treasurer of said City for the full term of

four years ;
14 NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITE7 ;COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
15 'i CALIFORNIA, :DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS
16i FOLLOWS :
17 SECTION 1 . That pursuant to the requirementso.1_ the laws of
18 the State of California relating to General Law Cities within said
19 State, there shall be, and there is hereby cabled and ordered, held
•'p ir$ the City of San Jacinto, County of Riverside, State of California,

21 on Tuesday, the 9th day of April, 1968, a regular general municipal-
22' election of the :qualified electors of said City for the purpose of
23 electing 'three (3) ':members of the City Council- of said City for the
24 :1 full term of four years ; a City Clerk of said City for the full term ,
25 I!� of :tour years ; and a City Treasurer of said City for the full term
26 : of four years.
271 SECTION 2 . That the ballots to be used at said election shall>

28 ! be, both as to form and matter contained therein, such as may be

29 ', required by law to be used thereat
30i SECTION 3 . That the City Clerk of said City is hereby author
311 ized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish any and all

I and lawfully conduct said election.
2 SECTION 4. That for the purpose of holding said regular gen-
3' oral municipal election, there shall be and are hereby established
41 three (3) voting precincts consisting of consolidations of the regu-
5 i lar election precincts In the City of Sari Jacinto established for
the holding of state and county elections, as said regular electlori
7 precincts exist on the day of adoption of this resolution. That the
£3 polling places for the respective precincts shall be the places
9 hereinafter designated; and that the persons hereinafter named,
10 being competent and qualified electors and residents of said City
11 and of their respective voting precincts; are hereby appointed
12, officers of election for their respective voting precincts and they
I3I shall hold said election and make return thereof in the manner
14 provided by law.

5 SECTION? 5 . That the compensation of the 'persons hereinbefore
6 named as election officers is hereby fixed at the sum of Eighteen
7 Dollars for each Inspector and Fifteen Dollars for each ;judge and
8 Clerk for said election. The rental for each of such polling places,
where a charge is made, shall be the sum of Fifteen Dollars for said
10 election. When required, the compensation of the Custodian of a
1lAuilding shall be Fifteen Dollars for said election;
l2ii SECTION 6`. That the polls for said election shall be open at
13; seven o 'c'lock A.M. of the day of said election and shall remain open
14� continuously from said time until seven o 'clock P.M. of the same day
1'51tiahen said polls shall be closed, except as provided in Section 14436
16 of the Electlons Cade of the State of California .
17 SECTION 7 . That in al.l particulars not recited in this Resole-
18 tion, said election shall be held and conducted as provided by law
19 for holding municipal elections in said City.
'20 , SECTION 8 . That notice of the time and dace of holding said
21 election is hereby riven and the City Clerk is hereby authorized,
22 instructed and directed to give such further or additional notice of
231said election in time, form and manner as required by law.
24 SECTION 9 . That the City Clerk shall certify to t1ae passage
25 and adoption of this Resolution; shall enter the same in the hook of
26 original Resolutions of said City; and shall make a: minute of the
27 ;passage and adoption thereof in the records of the proceedings of
28 the City Council of said City, in the minutes of the meeting at which
29 the same is passed and adopted'.
301 SECTION'' 10 . That this Resolution shall take effect immediately.
