2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, EN-
3 � DORSING THE USE OF THE NAME OF
"SAN JACINTO" ON THE COVER OF THE
LOCAL TELEPHONE DIRECTORY,
5 �! WHEREAS, the recently published telephone directory for the
6 1967-1968 year bears on it ' s cover the identification of "Hemet-
7d Perris Area";
3 AND WHEREAS, the directory serves a large number of communi-
9 ties other ;than the cities of Hemet and Perris ; j
10I AND WHEREAS, a substantial number of businessmen in the City
III of Sava Jacinto advertise in the directory with expectations of its
12 use by persons interested in San Jacinto businesses ;
13 AND WHEREAS it is difficult for person unfamilar with the
11 area to readily ascertain from the present directory where to ob
15 , ta.in information about the City of San Jacinto and the many other
16 ; communities served by the directory.
17 NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
18 of San; Jacinto in a regular adjourned session this 29th day: of
19 August 1967' as follows :
20 1. The City Council deplores the failure of the current
22 I telephone directory to identify on it 's cover the many communities
2N11 served by the directory, including th.e City of 'San Jacinto .
2J 2 . The City. Council hopes that the General Telephone Company
241 will take steps to correct this situation in the future, for the
251 convenience of the users of the directory in the many unidentified
26 communities .
27 I 3 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this

2L3 Resolution and shall/copies to be forwarded to the officials of

I the General Telephone Company.
