RESOLUTION NO. 725
2� A RESOLUTION OFFERING FIVE ACRES TO THE
COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
3' FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF A COUNTY SERVICES
CENTER IN THE SAN JACINTO VALLEY.

5 WHEREAS it is necessary for the County of Riverside to estab
G1lish service offices in this area, and

71 WHEREAS the location of such offices would be for the greatestl
8,'Iservice of all citizens in this valley-wide area, and
9i WHEREAS availability of these services by virtue of road

lO, locations is of prime importance, sand
li.I, WHEREAS it is believed that a major growth of this area will
12 be to the west of San Jacinto, and
13 WHEREAS the City of San Jacinto has property available within
14 the city 'limits that could be utilized for a governmental agency

151service center located in the City of San. Jacinto, County of Fiver
, side, State of California. described as follows ;
161 That portion of Lot 154 of lands of the San Jacinto
Land Association as per map recorded in Book 8 of
17 Maps at Page 357 thereof, in the Office of the County
Recorder of San Diego County, ;State of California,
18 and more particularly described as follows ; Beginning
at a point 820 feet southerly from the South line of
19 Cottonwood Road, said point on the South line of
Cottonwood Road being South 870 25 ' East 552.22 feet
20 from the :common section corner to Sections 27 , 28, 33
and 34, Township 4 South, Range 1 West, San Bernardino
21 Bane and Meridian; thence East 1041.87 feet to a
point ; thence Southa5lo 33 ' 15" West 584.22 feet along
22 the said Northwest line of Grand Avenue to a point;
thence West 702. 19 feet to a. point; thence North 470
23 ' feet to the point of beginning.
24 Reserving a right of way for a road thirty (30) feet
wwide over the most Northeasterly portion of said
25i above-described parcel of land, leading into said
Grand Avenue ; .the Northeasterly boundary line of
26 �1 said right of way extending 98 .49 feet along the
Northeasterly boundary line of said" above-described
27i parcel of land'; Excepting from said parcel of land

1 WHEREAS the city would encourage the Board of Supervisors to
2 sa'�,Te the taxpayers ' money by locating their service building on five
3 acres of property which the city would make available.
4'i NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
5 of San Jacinto sitting in regular adjourned session this 28th day
6 of March, 196`7 as follows :
1 1 . The City 'Council, in behalf of the City of San 'Jacinto,
8 offers the transfer to the County of Riverside of 'five acres to be l
9 selected from the above-described real property, located on Grand �
10 Avenue within the city boundaries, either by 'way of a long-term
11 lease or by sale for the payment of $1 .00 upon condition of the
12 construction thereon of a county governmental services building
13 within a reasonable time and providing that the land shall revert `
14 to the City of San Jacinto upon abandonment by the County of River-
15 side or of any of its agencies of the use of said land.
16 2 . The City Clerk shall certify to the adoptinn of this
17' resolution and shall cause a certified copy hereof to be promptly
18 transmitted to The Honorable Board of Supervisors, The Honorable
19 Floyd McCall, Supervisor, Fifth Supervisorial District, and the

1 County Administrator, Robert T. Anderson, all of Riverside County.;
