RESOLUTION DECLARING THE INTENTION OF THE
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF-SAN JACINTO TO
INITIATE ON ITS. OVIN MOTION PROCEEDINGS TO
ANNEX CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO:
1 . That the Council of the City of San Jacinto, for the
reasons hereinafter mentioned, proposes to initiate on its own
motion, as soon as it can legally do so, proceedings to annex to
the city of San Jacinto all of the territory hereinafter described,
as uninhabited territory, under provisions of the Annexation of
Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 as set forth in Sections 35300
to 35326, inclusive, of the Government Code of the State of
California .
2 . That the Councils reasons for proposing to initiate
said annexation proceedings are as follows : The annexation of the
hereinafter described territory will contribute to the orderly
growth of the City, provide the proper control of street layout,
drainage, sanitary sewer design, and insure proper use of the land
in conformity with the overall zoning plan of the city.
3 . That the territory which the Council proposes to annex is
hereby identified as "Annexation No . 8", and consits of all that
real property described as follows

Beginning at the Northwest corner of said Farm"Lot 154, said NlorL:r-

Avenue and Elizabeth Avenue, formerly known as Pa.l7 Avenue;

also along the center line of said Cottonwood ,.venue, a distance
of 552.22 feet to a point on the WestOrly boundary line of

of said City of San Jacinto parcel a distance of 552. 22 feet to
cr. interscetion with the West line of said Farm Lot .154;
Thence gortjjerly along the West line or said Farm Lot 154, being
also along the center line of said Elizabeth :.Venue, a distance
of 1290 feet, more 01- less, to the point of beginning..
4. That the Planning and Development Assistant of the
City of San Jacinto is hereby directed to file with the Boundary
Commission and with the Local Agency Formation Commission of the
County of Riverside, State of California, this proposal to initiate
proceedings to annex the hereinabove described °uninhabited terri-
tory to the City of San Jacinto, and. to request approval of the
Local Agency Formation Commission as provided for in Section
35002 of the Government Code ,
ADOPTED this 7th day of March, 1967, by the following vote:
AYES : Councilmen Pierce, Stevens , Maughan,
Hayhome and Stuart .
