1 RESOLUTION NO. 975
2 , A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO REVISING THE RATES FOR
3 TAXI SERVICE WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO
4 Ordinance No.-348 having been revised by Ordinance No. 537 'to provide for
5 establishment of rates for taxi service by resolution of the City Council , and
6 W. C. Channell , the present holder of the sole franchise for operation of
7 taxi service within this city, having requested an increase for such taxi ser-
$ vice, and
9 Good cause having been shown,
10 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
11 JACINTO sitting in session the ,. _ day of February 1973, as follows :
12 1 . The Council determines that the public convenience and necessity re-
quires an increase in the rates for taxi service as herein prescribed
13 in order to improve and maintain the taxi service for the people of
this city.

2. - The fare for taxi service within this city is established as follows.

16 (a) Sixty cents (64) for the first one-sixth mile of travel
and ten (10¢) for each additional mile of travel .
17 (b) In addition, ten cents (10¢) for each minute of delay
enroute or for waiting shall be charged. Whenever the
18 speed of travel falls below eight, (8) miles an hour,
the delay charge shall apply while travel is maintained -
19 below said rate of speed .

21 AYES. Councilmen Brooks , Stevens and Sanzberro.
