1 A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITYOF SAN JACINTO CALLING A
PUBLIC HEARING TO DETERMINE WHETHER PUBLIC NECESSITY, HEALTH , SAFE-
2 TY OR WELFARE REQUIRES THE FORMATION OF AN UNDERGROUND UTILITY DIS-
TRICT ON SAN JACINTO AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO.

4 WHEREAS , Ordinance No. 458 establishes a procedure for the creation of

5 underground utility districts and requires as the initial step in such procedure
6 the holding of a public hearing to ascertain whether public necessity, health ,
7 safety or welfare requires the removal of poles , overhead wires and associated
8 overhead structures and the underground installation of wires and facilities
9 for supplying electric , communication or similar or associated service in any
10 such district; and
11 WHEREAS , it has been recommended that such an underground utility dis-
12 trict, hereinafter called District, be formed on rp perty described in Exhibit
13 A" , attached hereto and made a part hereof.
14 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
151 1 . NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN t t a public hearing will be held by the on,

16e in the Council Chambers, 201 E. Main Street, San Jacinto, California
to asItertain whether the public necessity, health , safety or welfare requires
17 the removal of poles , overhead wires and associated overhead structures and the
underground installation of wires and facilities for supplying electric, communi
18 cation or similar associated service in the District hereinabove described .

19 2. At such hearing all persons interested shall be given an opportunity
to be heard. Said hearing may be continued from time to time as may be deter-
20 mined by the City Council .
21 3. The City Clerk shall notify all affected property owners as shown on
the last equalized assessment roll and utilities concerned of the time and place
22 of such hearing by mailing a copy of this resolution to such property owners and
utilities concerned at least ten (10) days prior to the date thereof.
