2 RESOLUTION ORDERING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC
WORKS :TO PREPARE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS, ESTI-
3 MATE AND REPORT PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS
OF DIVISION 14, PART 1, STREETS AND HIGHWAYS
4 CODE, STREET LIGHTING ACT OF 1919 AS AMENDED,
FOR THE FURNISHING OF ELECTRIC CURRENT, AND
5 FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF STREET LIGHTING OR
STREET LIGHTING SYSTEMS OWNED BY A PUBLIC
6 UTILITY IN THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO, STATE
OF CALIFORNIA.

81 WHEREAS, the public convenience and necessity require, and it
9 is the intention of the City Council of the City of San Jacinto, to
101 order the furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of
i
11 ' street lighting in a system partially owned by a public utility
12 subject to the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities Commission of
1311 the State of California, and partially owned' by this City, in the
14 City of San Jacinto for a period of months beginning July 1,, 1973 .
15I and ending June 30, 1983 ; and
16 ' WHEREAS, proceedings for such proposed improvement will be
17I taken pursuant to the provisions of Division 14, Part 1, of the
18 Streets and Highways Code of the State of California, being the
191 "Street Lighting Act of 1919 " as amended; and
20 WHEREAS, the alternative procedure for levying and collecting
21
the ad valorem tax is most suitable for. this Citt , and
22 WHEREAS, the provisions of said Division 14, Part 1, require
23 a written report concerning such proposed improvement;
24 NOW, 'THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND ORDERED by the
25 City Council of the City of San Jacinto, as follows :
26 SECTION 1; That the City Director of Public Works be and he
27 is hereby ordered to prepare a written report pursuant to the pro-
28 visions of Chapter 8.5, Part 1, Division 14 of the Streets and
29 Highways Code, for the furnishing of electric current , and the
30 maintenance of street lighting in a system partially owned by a
31 public utility subject to the jurisdiction of the Public Utilities
32i Commission of the State of California and partially owned by this

3 SECTION 2 a That said written report shall be filed with the
4 Clerk of the City of San Jacinto, who shall present it to the City
5 Council for its consideration.
6 SECTION 3 . The City Clerk shall certif1, to the adoption of
7 this Resolution.
