I RESOLUTION NO. 966
2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACIN-
TO AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPLY TO THE UNITED STATES
3 GOVERNMENT FOR RETIRED SENIOR VOLUNTEER PROGRAM FUNDS
4 The City Council of the City of San Jacinto does hereby resolve as follows :
5 WHEREAS, the Senior Citizens Advisory Commission of the City of San Jacinto
6 has recommended to the City Council that it authorize and direct the City Manager _
7 to apply for Retired Senior Volunteer Program Funds from the Federal Government;
8 land,
9i WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto recognizes the wealth
10 of information and talent available in its Senior Citizens ; and

11j WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of San Jacinto deems it to be in the
12 best interest and welfare of the City of San Jacinto to apply for said funds;
13 , NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of San
14 (Jacinto
15 '' Section 1 . The City Manager of the City of San Jacinto is hereby: author-
16 ized and directed to apply to the Federal Government for Retired Senior Volunteer
17 Program Funds.
18 Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to insert
19 a copy of this Resolution with said application.
