RESOLUTION NO. 956
l A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACIN-
TO OPPOSING; THE INSTALLATION OF ELECTRICAL DEMAND METERS I

r'HEREAS, the City of San Jacinto must now pay substantial additional elec-
3 trical power charges due to the installation of electrical demand meters which
4
provide illumination at the city yards; and
5
WHEREAS, the charge for each electrical demand meter is substantial ; and
6
WHEREAS , the City of San Jacinto offers public service to the citizens of
7
San Jacinto on a non-profit basis at the site where electrical demand meters
8
have been installed;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of San
10
Jacinto formally requests the League of California Cities to protest installa-
tion of these demand meters , and further to request that the Public Utilities

Commission consider granting a waiver of Revised Cal . P.U.C. Sheet Number 4291-E
13
to exclude the installation of electrical demand meters at sites utilized for
14
15
non-profit public service.
