2 , A RESOLUTION OE' THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO DECLARING THAT THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO.
3 IS PROVIDING 'FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES WITHIN THE
CITY OF SAN JACINTO.

5 This resolution is adopted with reference to the following
61 facts
7 ;' A. The City ,of San Jacinto, a California municipality, locat-
8j� ed within the County of Riverside has heretofore provided for many
9I years fire protection services for the territory located within the
10i territorial limits of the City of San Jacinto.
11 ! B. Said city still does maintain and operate a fire departmen
12 ' with over twenty men as volunteers who meet and conduct regular
13 training exercises and a part-time paid fire marshall whose job is
14
= to inspect, supervise and enforce fire laws and ordinances .
15 C. Said city has recently constructed a new fire station and
16 : maintains two fire trucks fully equipped and other essential equip-
17i went and a twenty-four hour dispatcher to route and alert fire
ISi calls .
191 D. The maintenance and establishment of the fire department
201 constitutes a substantial expense to the residents of the City of
21 San Jacinto incurred over and above the payment to the County of
22 Riverside for fire protection services provided by said county.
23 E. Section 25642 of the Government Code authorizes each city
24 that provides its own fire protection services to file with the
25 Board of Supervisors 'before Parch- lst of any year a resolution de--
26 Glaring as stated herein and to thereby cause the, property of such
27 city to become exempt 'from` any portion of the costs of ,county fire
26 protection services .
29 � NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CTT1Y
30 OF SAN JACINTO sitting in regular adjourned session this 22nd day
31 of February, 1972' as follows -
32I 1. The City Council finds the foregoing facts to be true and

2, 2 . This city is hereby declared to have provided and to con-
3' tinue to provide its own fire protection services within its terri-
411 torial limits in full compliance with the provisions of Section
5 25642 of the Government Code .
6 3 . The city clerk of this city is instructed to certify to"'th
7 adoption of this resolution and to cause a certified copy hereof to
8 be filed with the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors of the County
9 of Riverside, State of California, on or before March 1, 1972 .
10 4. The Honorable Board of Supervisors of the County of' River-
11 side, State of California, the Administrators and Tax Assessor of
12 said county are respectfully requested not to assess the property
13 located within the territorial limits of the City of San Jacinto
14 for the fiscal year 1972-1973 or any year thereafter until it shall
15 have been determined pursuant to the provisions of Section 25643 -
16 that fire protection services are no longer provided said city.
