2! A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SAN JACINTO REJECTING AL1, BIDS RECEIVED FOR THE
3, CONSTRUCTION OF THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT OF CON-
STRUCTION OF A POLICE DEPARTMENT AND JAIL AND
4 DETERMINING THAT THE IMPROVEMENT CAN BE MORE
ECONOMICALLY CONSTRUCTED BY DAY LABOR AND BY
5, PURCHASE OF MATERIALS AND SUPPLIES ON THE OPEN
MARKET.

This resolution is adopted with reference to the following
7 facts-
8 A. On December e, 1970, the City Council of the City of San
Jacinto ordered that an invitation 'for`bids for construction of a
9 public works project known as the Police Department Offices and Jail
Cells be published in accordance with the provisions of section
10 37903 of the Government Code .
11 B. Sealed bids for said project have been-publical:ly opened
and examined and said city council has declared the result of said
12 , bids at its meeting of February 2, 1971 and only one bid for the
entire project was ' received; in the amount of-$59,`646.00 .

C. '- Said council determines by the affirmative vote of all four
14 of its councilmen present at said 'meeting that the project can be
1 performed more economically by day labor and by purchase of the
151 materials and supplies at a lower price in the open market .
161 NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the Cit-v
of San Jacinto sitting in regular session this 2nd day of February,
17 1971 as follows -.
18 ; 1. The ;council finds the foregoing facts to be true .

191 2 . The city Manager of the City of San Jacintois instructed
pursuant to the provisions of Section 37905 of the Government Code
20 to cause theconstruction of the Police Department and Jail project
at. Hoffman Park to be performedby day labor and by the purchase of
21 materials and supplies on the open market:
22 AEOPTED THIS 2nd day of February 1971 by the following vote .
23 , AYES. Councilmen Stevens , Saben, Cutting and Young,
24 NOES: None
25 ABSENT: Mayor Brooks
