21 RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE
DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORKS MADE PURSUANT
3�1 TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF RESOLUTION NO.
869 , ADOPTED JUNE 16, 1970.

51 WHEREAS, the City ;Council of the City of San Jacinto, did by
its Resolution No. 869 , adopted on the 16th day of June, 1970,
6 pursuant to the provisions of the "Street Lighting Act of 1919° ,
being Fart l of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways Code of t7
7I State of California, as amended, <require the Director of Public
Works to make and file with the Clerk of the City of San Jacinto,
81 a report in 'writing, presenting certain matters relating to an
Assessment District for lighting maintenance and service in said
City of Jan 'Jacinto; and
10j WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works, pursuant to the require -
ments of the City;;Council as outlined in said Resolution No. 869
11 ; adopted on the 16th day of June, 1970, did make and file in the
Office of the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto, on the 17th
121 day of November, 1970, his report in writing relating to the pro-

posed lighting maintenance and service district insaid City; and
WHEREAS, said City Clerk has ;presented the report to the City
14 � Council of said City, and said City Council proceeded to examine, `
i inspect and consider said report, and said City Council is in
15 accord with said report and each and every item therein set forth,
except for the period of time of its commencement and termination,-
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN JACINTO,
17I CALIFORNIA, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DECLARE, DETERMINE AND ORDER, as
follows:

Section 1: That the report of the Director of Public Works
191 of the City ;of San Jacinto, dated the 17th day of November, 1970,
which said report was made and filed pursuant to the requirements
20 of the ,provisions of Resolution No. 869, passed and adopted on the
16th day of June, 1970, by said City Council and in conformity with
21 the provisions of Street Lighting Act of 1919 " of the State of
22 'I California, being )art l of Division 14 of the Streets and Highways
Code, as amended, and particularly as contemplated under the pro-
visions of section 18041 of said 'Code and which said report was
23 : filed in the Office of the City Clerk of the City of San Jacinto,
on the -l7th 'day of November, 1970, be and the same is hereby
?4 approved except that the proposed period for the said district
shall be modified to provide for commencement on July 1, 1971 and
25 end on June 30, ,1981, and the council reserves its decision on
26 whether to levy a 25 cent per $100 assessed valuation on land and
improvements or a' 75 cent , per $100 assessed valuation on land ex-
clusive of improvements until the time of the hearing called for
27 in Resolution No. -882 adopted concurrently with this resolution.
Said tax rate shall be levied pursuant to the alternative procedure
28 set forth in Chapter 8.5 of Part '1 of Division 14 of said Streets'
and Highways Code',which procedure shall be followed by this special
29 ! district for levying and collecting any assessments levied for said
district .
